Adenna Inc.
announces it has reached a licensing agreement with
Maxxim Medical to market and sell the PURITY™
glove under the Adenna label. This new glove is manufactured
with INTACTA™, proprietary performance polymers
developed by the Dow Chemical Company.
This glove eliminates the life-threatening
Type I allergic reaction to natural rubber latex,
and dramatically reduces the risk of Type IV reactions
associated with chemical crosslinkers and accelerators,
commonly used in manufacturing of latex and other
synthetic gloves. Unlike other non-latex gloves, Adenna’s
PURITY™ glove provides excellent fit, feel,
and tear resistance. It also has excellent “memory”
which allows it to retain its original shape when
stretched and relaxed.
Adenna will preview this new product
at the annual HIDA, Healthcare Distribution Conference
and Expo, which will be held in San Diego, December
6-8, 2001. Maxwell Lee, President of Adenna Inc, stated,
“As concerns over latex sensitivities grow,
we believe that PURITY™ will become the industry
standard as the best alternative available. Through
our partnership with Maxxim Medical and the technology
advancement of Dow Chemical, Adenna is able to remain
at the forefront of providing cost-effective, high
quality, latex-free solutions. We look forward to
introducing this new product to our nationwide network
of Distributors/ Partners at the upcoming HIDA event.”
